We scroll through them on our phones, we cross them in the street, we forget them a few instants later. And yet the images that remain within us are not necessarily the most spectacular ones. They are the ones we have truly learned to look at.<\/p>\n<p>To look does not simply mean to see. Seeing is an automatic gesture; looking is a choice. It requires time, silence and a willingness to let oneself be surprised.<\/p>\n<p>Many of my works are not born in front of a canvas, but long before. They are born from a half-open door, from a chair left empty, from a wall worn by time, from a light that enters a room. They are details that almost everyone ignores, but which hold a story.<\/p>\n<p>The artist does not invent the world: he listens to it. He seeks what remains when the noise moves away. In that moment a place becomes memory, an object becomes presence and an absence begins to speak.<\/p>\n<p>I suggest a small exercise. Stop for a few minutes in a place you know well. Do not look for anything extraordinary. Observe the light, the shadows, the traces left by time. Le scorriamo sui telefoni, le incrociamo per strada, le dimentichiamo pochi istanti dopo. Eppure le immagini che rimangono dentro di noi non sono necessariamente le pi\u00f9 spettacolari. Sono quelle che abbiamo davvero imparato a guardare.<\/p>\n<p>Guardare non significa semplicemente vedere. Vedere \u00e8 un gesto automatico; guardare \u00e8 una scelta. Richiede tempo, silenzio e disponibilit\u00e0 a lasciarsi sorprendere.<\/p>\n<p>Molte delle mie opere non nascono davanti a una tela, ma molto prima. Nascono da una porta socchiusa, da una sedia rimasta vuota, da un muro consumato dal tempo, da una luce che entra in una stanza. Sono dettagli che quasi tutti ignorano, ma che custodiscono una storia.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019artista non inventa il mondo: lo ascolta. Cerca ci\u00f2 che resta quando il rumore si allontana. In quel momento un luogo diventa memoria, un oggetto diventa presenza e un\u2019assenza comincia a parlare.<\/p>\n<p>Vi propongo un piccolo esercizio. Fermatevi per qualche minuto in un luogo che conoscete bene. Non cercate qualcosa di straordinario. Osservate la luce, le ombre, le tracce lasciate dal tempo.
